About AAA Distributor

AAA Distributor LLC is a multi subsidiary building products and cabinet distributor serving customers across the United States. We operate three branches — Philadelphia (AAA Distributor), Dallas (SBMTX), and Spokane (TUD) — along with a growing Online Division. Our Farmers Branch corporate office supports the accounting and operations of all three subsidiaries.

Position Summary

We are seeking an Accountant or Senior Accountant (level commensurate with experience) to join our corporate accounting team in Farmers Branch, TX. This role supports all three subsidiaries and reports directly to the Senior Controller. The successful candidate will own core accounting functions, support our three branch bookkeepers, and play a central role in driving better utilization of NetSuite across the organization.

This is a replacement position offering broad exposure across multi-entity accounting, financial analysis, and ERP optimization — ideal for either a strong recent graduate or an experienced accountant looking for the next step.

Key Responsibilities

  • Month-End Close: Lead and execute month-end close activities across all three subsidiaries, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
  • Cash Management: Manage cash reporting, bank reconciliations, and daily cash position monitoring.
  • AR / AP / Inventory: Oversee and support AR, AP, and inventory accounting in coordination with the
    branch bookkeeping team.
  • GL Reconciliations: Perform and review balance sheet account reconciliations; investigate and resolve variances.
  • Intercompany Accounting: Process and reconcile intercompany transactions across AAA, SBMTX, and TUD.
  • Sales Tax: Review and reconcile multi-state sales and use tax returns; maintain compliance
    documentation.
  • Financial Analysis: Build and deliver financial analyses, variance commentary, and ad-hoc reporting to support business decisions.
  • Audit Support: Serve as a key contributor in annual audits and reviews; prepare schedules and respond to auditor requests.
  • Credit Card Transactions: Oversee corporate credit card activity in line with established coding rules and
    automate through Netsuite.
  • ERP Optimization (NetSuite): Identify, design, and implement improvements to NetSuite usage —
including saved searches, workflows, custom segments, and reporting — to streamline operations across all subsidiaries in conjunction with Sr. Controller.
  • Branch & Team Support: Partner with the three branch managers and the team of three branch
bookkeepers to provide guidance, training, and accounting support.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
  • 0–6 years of accounting experience (recent graduates encouraged to apply; level and compensation will
    be aligned with experience).
  • Hands-on experience with an ERP system.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, complex formulas, data modeling).
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to improve productivity, accuracy, and analysis.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities across entities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred

  • NetSuite ERP experience (Saved searches, custom segments, multi-subsidiary consolidations a strong
    plus).
  • Experience in building products, distribution, or retail industries.
  • Exposure to multi-entity and intercompany accounting preferred not required.
  • Familiarity with sales tax compliance across multiple states.

Work Schedule & Location

  • Based at our Farmers Branch, TX corporate office.
  • Hybrid schedule: 4 days in-office / 1 day remote, with the possibility of moving to a 3 / 2 schedule in the
    future.
  • Standard business hours.

What We Offer

  • Compensation: Competitive compensation, commensurate with experience (DOE).
  • Health Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • PTO: Generous paid time off.
  • Retirement: 401(k) retirement plan.
  • AI-Forward Culture: We actively integrate AI tools into our accounting and operations workflows and encourage our team to do the same.
  • Career Growth: Direct exposure to senior leadership and broad responsibility across three subsidiaries — a strong platform for career development.
